Online Safety
Technology is an important part of children's everyday lives. It enables them to learn, create, communicate and explore the world in exciting and enriching ways. Helping children to use technology safely, responsibly and with confidence is therefore an essential part of our commitment to safeguarding.
At Grafton Primary School, online safety is woven throughout our curriculum and school life. We teach children how to make safe and informed choices online, protect their personal information, treat others with kindness and respect and recognise when something doesn't feel right. Just as importantly, we encourage them to speak to a trusted adult whenever they have a concern.
As technology continues to evolve, so too does our approach. We regularly review and update our online safety education to ensure it reflects the changing digital world and the challenges children may encounter.
We believe that keeping children safe online is a shared responsibility. By working in partnership with parents and carers, we help children develop the knowledge, resilience and confidence to enjoy all the opportunities technology offers while understanding how to navigate the online world safely.
Our teaching is supported by a wide range of high-quality resources and guidance from trusted organisations specialising in online safety, ensuring that our pupils receive relevant, up-to-date and engaging learning throughout their time at Grafton Primary.
