Who is your child becoming?

Every child who joins Grafton begins a remarkable seven-year journey.

During that time they will learn to read, write, calculate, investigate, create, perform, question and discover.  But those achievements are only part of the story.  Our greatest ambition is not simply what children know by the time they leave us.  It is who they become.

At Grafton Primary School, we believe that a curriculum is a means to an end — not the end itself.

Of course, we want every child to develop excellent knowledge, secure understanding and the skills they need to succeed in the next stage of their education. Academic achievement matters.

But it is not our only measure of success.

Our greatest responsibility is to help children grow into thoughtful, confident, compassionate and curious young people who are ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges of the world beyond our school.

Every lesson, every conversation, every experience and every opportunity contributes to that journey.  That is why our curriculum is carefully curated around the child — not simply around subjects.
